DLP technology's pivotal role in O2view's versatile medical projection device
Quest Innovations designs and builds the cameras used in the O2view Artemis system. In this article Quest Innovation's DLP projector for the Artemis platform is highlighted. A projection system based on a DLP (Digital Light Processor) is used for the illumination of tissue for near infra-red fluorescence imaging of tumors and spatial oxygen-saturation measurement. The combined technology for molecular imaging (Artemis Camera) and image-guided projection of light (Artemis DMD-Projection System) is of significant benefit for various clinical applications.Quest-Innovations develops and manufactures high quality smart CCD / CMOS multi-spectral cameras and dedicated software for advanced imaging applications. The main markets that Quest focuses on are: defence & security, science & life science, medicine, agriculture and industry.
The machine vision cameras help to improve customer businesses in numerous ways, whether by improving quality and accuracy of products, lowering production line inspection costs, increasing production yields or creating more effective surgical tools for cancer surgery.
Quest-Innovations is able to deliver standard and/or customized solutions for almost any application where (multi-spectral) camera vision technology is an integrated part of a process, product or service.
To cover the varying needs for video signal handling in different applications, Quest-Innovations supplies a broad range of interfaces including GigE , Camera Link, Optical Fibre link and Serial Link. The innovations in the field of electro-optical technologies, and the ever growing need for machine vision implicates that the (multi-spectral) market is continuously expanding. Through our knowledge and in-house Research and Development, Quest-Innovations will remain ahead of its competitors, offering leading edge technology for our customers all the time!
