Quest Innovations wishes you a multispectral Christmas
2010 has been an interesting year, not only because of the results of the financial crisis but also, and more importantly, because of new product developments and the strong focus on multi-spectral imaging. Quest Innovations has successfully released new products that are state of the art and that will allow Quest Innovations to enter even more markets with specific needs. We have worked hard to get our customers the right products and we feel that we succeeded in that.

In 2011 we will continue the expansion of our current product line of multispectral camera systems and we will release new additions to our Condor product line. Quest Innovations will remain committed to develop a complete range of camera types for the multispectral arena and to offer you a rich choice in selecting a camera suitable for your needs. A custom development program will be setup in 2011 to allow you to customize your camera based on a standard model.
From this side, the Quest Innovations team would like to thank you for the support over the last year and wishes you a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year.

SPIE Photonics West 2011
Quest innovations will be present at Spie Photonics West in San Francisco, California, USA from 22-27 January 2011. You can find us at the Holland Pavilion, booth no. 4301.
SPIE Photonics West, the world's largest international event encompassing industrial and medical applications of optics, lasers, and photonics, will be larger than ever in 2011, with more papers -- 3,976 in all -- and expanded exhibition space. Approximately 18,000 attendees are expected to convene in technical sessions, industry panels, two exhibitions, and other events covering advances in medical therapeutics and diagnostics, semiconductor, gas, fiber, and diode lasers, micro/nanofabrication, MEMs, optoelectronic materials and devices, displays, communications, and related topics.

Condor-1000 MS5-285
The Condor-1000 MS5 285 is a 2/3" prism camera based on the Sony ICX285 sensor, an interline CCD solid-state image sensor with a square pixel array. Three sensors capture the red, green and blue visible colors, while the remaining two are used for near infrared bands 700-850nm and 850-1000nm.
For each channel it provides a programmable LUT and independent gain and exposure control. All channels are synchronized to prevent motion abberation between channels.
The size of an image sensor is an important factor when choosing a sensor, since larger sensor sizes can have higher resolutions and larger pixel sizes. With its sensor diagonal of 2/3 inch the Condor-1000 MS5-285 combines 1.4MPixel with a large pixel area of 6.45x6.45µm. In combination with its high sensitivity and low noise this makes it ideal for low light conditions.
The ICX285 is an interline CCD sensor which means that it has a very fast electronic shutter. When the integrating phase ends, all charge is quickly transfered from the pixels to storage locations. The pixels are ready to start integrating for the next frame immediately while the charge in the storage locations is read.
More information about this camera is available at the Condor-1000 MS5-285 product page.
