Appli­ca­tions

  • Pre­ci­sion agri­cul­ture and agri­cul­tural remote sens­ing
    Mul­ti­spec­tral cam­eras have var­i­ous appli­ca­tions within pre­ci­sion agri­cul­ture such as observ­ing and mea­sur­ing crop vari­abil­ity based on its RGB and NIR spec­tra. It pro­vides a fast overview of water sta­tus, nutri­ent defi­cien­cies and pest infestation.
  • Envi­ron­men­tal map­ping and remote sens­ing
    Remote sens­ing with UAVs should has the same ben­e­fits as remote sens­ing with small air­planes, while UAV usage is cheaper than air­plane use and has addi­tional advan­tages like not hav­ing to rely on air­ports. The UAV can take­off nearly every­where and can be trans­ported in a van and can be oper­ated with min­i­mal oppor­tu­nity for human errors.
  • Marine pol­lu­tion detec­tion
    UAVs equipped with mul­ti­spec­tral cam­eras can be used in oil spill detec­tion, sea ice detec­tion and red tide detec­tion (algal bloom). They can be deployed along coast­lines or from boats.
  • Pipeline and power line sur­veil­lance
    Mul­ti­spec­tral cam­eras are used in dis­cov­er­ing leaks in water and oil pipelines in remote areas and areas where it is dif­fi­cult to observe leak­ages due to the nature of the area (swamps, forests). At the same time mul­ti­spec­tral imag­ing can pro­vide an overview of poten­tial threats along the pipelines such as veg­e­ta­tion growth.
  • Forestry con­ser­va­tion and veg­e­ta­tion iden­ti­fi­ca­tion
    Through the usage of air­borne mul­ti­spec­tral cam­eras, the amount, height and tree type can be iden­ti­fied. This pro­vides valu­able infor­ma­tion for forestry con­ser­va­tion, plan­ta­tion, log­ging and water man­age­ment businesses.
  • Fire­fight­ing and fire detec­tion
    Mul­ti­spec­tral cam­eras pro­vide detailed infor­ma­tion of loca­tion and growth of wild­fires. The cam­eras are simul­ta­ne­ously able to pro­vide infor­ma­tion on the con­di­tion of sur­round­ing vegetation.
